Cominar President and CEO Michel Dallaire was named to the Order of Canada in an announcement made on June 30, 2017, by Governor General David Johnston. One of the most prestigious civilian honours in the country, the Order of Canada recognizes outstanding achievement, dedication to the community and service to the nation.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Order and its first-ever list of appointments. The 99 new recipients, among them Michel Dallaire, received their insignia at a ceremony on August 25, 2017 at Rideau Hall.
