Cominar Obtains Bronze Parity Certification from Women in Governance
Following our nomination in The Globe and Mail's Women Lead Here in 2020, we undertook an extensive process to assess our diversity vision, practices and results.
Today, on the occasion of International Women's Day, we are pleased to announce that the organization Women in Governance has recognized our commitment to gender parity by awarding us Bronze Parity Certification.
"At Cominar, we are committed to promoting and showcasing diversity and inclusion within our human capital and the communities in which we live and work," said Sylvain Cossette, President and Chief Executive Officer, Cominar. "It is by growing our diverse and talented team and developing a culture of inclusion that we will strengthen our ability to connect with our clients and make the world a better place. On the occasion of International Women's Day, I would like to reiterate our commitment to rely on competent and innovative women to contribute to Cominar's success. »
This certification will allow us to pinpoint areas of improvement in the coming years.
Launched in Quebec in 2017 by the non-profit organization Women in Governance and available to Canadian companies with more than 400 employees since 2018, this certification aims to help companies increase the representation of women in leadership positions.
Participating companies were assessed against a list of quantitative and qualitative criteria using a questionnaire developed in collaboration with McKinsey & Company and the College of Certified Human Resources Professionals (CHRP).
