Alexis Nihon Welcomes the First En Mode Responsable Market

From September 22 to 24, the first En Mode Responsable Market will be taking place at Alexis Nihon. Visitors will be able to discover local designers and learn more about the ethical issues surrounding fashion. There will be workshops on designing and making textiles, as well as kiosks.

The arrival of this pop-up will enable Cominar to offer a memorable experience to its local community. "We are very pleased to welcome this market in our destination," explains Katherine Gervais, Consultant, Specialized Leasing and Partnerships. “ The concept is very human and goes beyond selling clothes to favor consumer education.”

Inaugurated as part of Montreal Fashion Week, the market was designed in partnership with Concertation Montréal.

An Ideal Destination to Reach New Publics

Alexis Nihon's diverse clientele and the presence of the fashion week’s main sponsor - La Vie en Rose - convinced the market's organisers to become part of our community.

They have been working for over 20 years to inform the public about ethical issues in the fashion industry and to promote local and responsible shopping. By setting up strategically in Alexis Nihon, they will be able to reach a new audience while remaining close to their regular clientele.

Ethical Fashion at Alexis Nihon

Similar initiatives are often presented at Alexis Nihon. In August 2023, Canadian thrift store The Street Market Boutique set up shop for a few days to offer quality second-hand clothing to our users. From September 14 to 17, Turquoise's Treasure offered vintage furniture and beauty products made locally.

Alexis Nihon also continues to welcome a number of local retailers to enrich its diverse and attractive offering.
