Galeries Rive Nord Are Recognized as Leader in Sustainability in 2023

Our Repentigny destination has received honours from Call2Recycle Canada to highlight its exceptional contribution to battery collection.

"The support we receive from Galeries Rive Nord helps us fulfill our mission to maximize diversion of batteries from the waste stream, which protects wildlife, the environment, and our communities," said Joe Zenobio, President of Call2Recycle Canada.

"This partnership allows us to establish a trusting relationship with our community and support it daily in its responsible waste-related decision-making," adds Marie-Pier Gendron, Marketing Coordinator at Galeries Rive Nord.

Galeries Rive Nord’s team has collaborated directly with the organization for two years. In 2023, they collected 1218 kilograms of batteries, equivalent to about 100,000 AAA batteries, making them one of the most successful partners in the program.

The local community can drop off their used batteries in the collectors near the Customer Service at door 4.
